McMaster Hospitality Services has been so happy with our Topanga experience. We like that the system is simple and seamless for both our customers and our operators. We were able to use our existing green containers and added unique stickers to match containers to students. The unique tracking codes are so helpful to nudge students to ensure that we get our containers returned. Students find it very helpful that they can use SSO to sign up for ReusePass, and add ReusePass to their digital wallet, making it an easy and accessible system.

When you’re budgeting 60 cents for each to-go box, for each person, and now you don’t have to? You can invest those savings back into the quality of the food you serve and provide a better product. At the end of the day, that’s our goal: we get to serve a bigger piece of chicken, a bigger burger, a better quality french fry at our ReusePass location because of the savings.

It truly doesn’t take a lot of additional work on behalf of our frontline associates to run [ReusePass]… which is key for the sustainability (no pun intended) of a program like this. We don’t get a lot of pushback from our staff, and it’s easy for them to manage.

Topanga has worked out better than I could have imagined. We took our reusable container program to the next level thanks to Topanga. The support and setup teams are amazing. The dashboard and analytics that you get as an operator are so helpful. My program went from a 40% return rate to 97%. I recommend this to any program looking to make a serious impact on sustainability and single use waste.
