Galley & Topanga's StreamLine: Turning Line-Level Data into Savings
We’ve partnered with Galley, the leading Culinary Resource Planning (CRP) platform, to build the foundation for smarter, more connected workflows across foodservice kitchens. StreamLine, our prep-to-post-service data capture system, is now integrated with Galley's CRP—unlocking accurate, line-level data for more confident planning.

We know that the most frustrating part of running a kitchen isn’t the jam-packed days, the changing diner preferences, or navigating new tooling. It’s wasting valuable resources—whether that’s discarded pizza, or the team time spent preparing said pizza.
And to address waste through better forecasting and planning, we need to start by understand exactly what's happening on the line.
You’re aware of what getting “greater production visibility” previously required: team members frantically filling out production worksheets with, at best, loose estimates, or navigating form after form on a legacy tracking system, only to give up because a more urgent task awaits. Chefs are left to plan menus with limited or inaccurate information, and the budget drain (and food waste) continues.
Now, Galley Solutions customers have a smoother way to get real service results.
A Partnership Born from a Shared Vision
We’ve partnered with Galley, the leading Culinary Resource Planning (CRP) platform, to build the foundation for smarter, more connected workflows across foodservice kitchens.
"We're excited to partner with Galley because they share our belief that great kitchen tech should move fast, solve real problems, and drive measurable results," says Topanga CEO and Co-Founder, Page Schult. "Together, we're giving foodservice teams smarter, integrated tools that reduce waste, reclaim time, and make each shift more efficient and impactful. It's a win for sustainability—and for the bottom line."
Both organizations are guided by a vision of the future where culinary teams are freed from the operational tasks that consume their focus. With better technology, we want to make room for more human creativity, enjoyment, and higher quality meals. Galley has built a powerful platform for workstreams like managing recipes, ordering ingredients, and crafting production plans, and our StreamLine system captures the real-world production data that will make each Galley planning cycle more cost-effective.
Smoother Planning Starts Today
With StreamLine, our prep-to-post-service data capture system, Galley customers get a clear and accurate picture of production.

Here’s how the integration works:
- Operator Captures: A team member places a tray of food—prepared, carryover, or waste—on the StreamLine countertop smart scale and with one tap, the system captures an item’s image and weight. This process is 10X faster than legacy systems, allowing operators to immediately return to more pressing work.
- AI Analyzes: Behind the scenes, Topanga’s advanced AI architecture identifies the Galley menu item (and pan used) with a high degree of accuracy. The financial impact of waste is revealed by pulling in cost information from Galley.
- Chefs Act: Topanga’s platform exposes overproduction problem areas, helping chefs make planned volume adjustments, conduct dedicated training sessions and have focused team conversations around firing decisions.
With StreamLine’s data and production guidance, your chefs will quickly spot and fix inefficiencies so that valuable menu items and team time don’t go to waste. Soon, information from StreamLine will automatically flow back to the Galley CRP; chefs can use trusted line-level results to optimize future production directly in Galley, making a greater impact in a fraction of the time.
Big Benefits for Cutting-Edge Kitchens
This isn't only about reducing waste, though StreamLine customers regularly achieve 50%+ reductions in key menu item waste in their first few months of use. Egg prices, for example, are expected to increase 24.6% in 2025, and trashed trays are becoming too costly to ignore. With StreamLine and Galley integrated, chefs can more easily plan menus and place orders based on the realities of the line. The resulting cost savings power higher quality meals, more space for skill-building, and greater profitability.
As Marcus Nucci, CPO at Galley, puts it: "I ran our kitchens on Galley long before I came on board. Now, by linking Galley with Topanga’s StreamLine, operators will not only be empowered to efficiently track waste, but also measure production yields, product consumption and forecast future demand with ease. Less guesswork, less waste, more time cooking and face time with customers—the shift every operator deserves.”
What Comes Next?
With the right tools in place, your team can focus on the food, not the forms.
The integration is available now, with expanded functionality coming soon. We're already working with Galley customers to connect StreamLine to their CRP, and would love to discuss how your culinary team can take advantage of this new offering.
